Comcast NBCUniversal has announced its intent to create a new publicly traded company ('Versant') comprised of most of NBCUniversal's cable television networks, including USA Network, CNBC, MSNBC, Oxygen, E!, SYFY and Golf Channel along with complementary digital assets Fandango, Rotten Tomatoes, GolfNow, GolfPass, and SportsEngine. The well-capitalized company will have significant scale as a pure-play set of assets anchored by leading news, sports and entertainment content. The spin-off is expected to be completed during 2025.
Job Description
The Manager of O&T FP&A is a key player on the O&T HQ Finance team, supporting a variety of business lines within Operations & Technology. The role will primarily own the management of the OCF allocation process, which includes partnering with finance teams across NBCUniversal’s wider brand portfolio in the distribution of approximately $1B of costs. This role will also lead the OCF allocation transformation initiative – project managing a multitude of process improvement projects. This role provides the unique opportunity to gain a solid understanding of NBCU operations through daily exposure and interaction with operational finance managers, technical support teams, and corporate finance.
What You’ll Do:
· Manage the consolidation, analysis & communication of allocation submissions for Long Range Plan, Budget and Quarterly Estimates through collaboration with operational finance leads & internal customers
· Own monthly actuals reconciliation of allocations
· Develop and maintain planning tools for team’s use in all financial planning cycles
· Support build out of presentations for Quarterly Estimates, Budget and Long-Range plans for O&T Finance leadership
· Perform various ad-hoc analyses including variance analysis and other requests from corporate or senior management
· Lead and support strategic special projects across Finance and cross-functional teams, including process improvements, system implementations, and ad-hoc financial analyses to drive business performance and operational efficiency.
Qualifications
What You Must Have:
· Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Accounting or related field
· 3+ years relevant accounting/finance experience
· Must be proficient with MS Office Suite products – particularly advanced Excel and PowerPoint skills
· Knowledge of Essbase preferred with exposure to BPC a plus

· Strong financial modeling and analysis skills, with experience in forecasting, budgeting, and variance analysis

· Must be accurate, highly organized with great attention to detail
· Proactive approach to problem solving including analytical and information system skills
· Strong work ethic and follow through

This position has been designated as hybrid, generally contributing from the office a minimum of four days per week.
