Comcast NBCUniversal has announced its intent to create a new publicly traded company ('Versant') comprised of most of NBCUniversal's cable television networks, including USA Network, CNBC, MSNBC, Oxygen, E!, SYFY and Golf Channel along with complementary digital assets Fandango, Rotten Tomatoes, GolfNow, GolfPass, and SportsEngine. The well-capitalized company will have significant scale as a pure-play set of assets anchored by leading news, sports and entertainment content. The spin-off is expected to be completed during 2025.

Our Universal Studios Hollywood (USH) Internship Program gives you more than a glimpse behind-the-scenes of a working theme park – here you can get the chance to make a real impact on our business. As a USH intern, you will have the opportunity to build meaningful connections with leaders, attend professional development workshops, and learn from industry experts – all while gaining real-world experience. Your internship begins with your key project assignment and concludes with a final presentation of your results to members of Senior Leadership. We love those who are curious, driven, and passionate about the future of the themed entertainment industry.

Semester System Program Dates: June 1, 2026 – August 7, 2026

Quarter System Program Dates: June 15, 2026 – August 21, 2026

Qualifications

Basic Requirements:

  • Must be actively pursuing an Associate, Bachelor, or Graduate degree at an accredited institution, or must be a recent graduate (internship within six months of graduation date) in Finance, Accounting, Business, Economics, or a related field.
  • Current class standing of Sophomore or above.
  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with strong attention to detail.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate cross-functionally.
  • Must be willing to work in Universal City, California.
  • Must be willing to work a flexible schedule, including early mornings, nights, weekends, & holidays.
  • Must be willing to submit a background check investigation. An official educational transcript may be required upon request.
  • Must be authorized to work for any employer in the United States and must not require work visa sponsorship from NBCUniversal now or in the future to retain authorization to work in the United States.

For further clarification, candidates currently on any student or exchange visa (e.g. F-1 CPT, F-1 OPT, J-1, M-1) are not eligible to apply unless they will be able to change or adjust to another status that grants work authorization without NBCUniversal sponsorship.

Desired Characteristics:

  • Rising Junior, rising Senior, or recent graduate preferred.
  • Preferred cumulative GPA of 3.25 or above.
  • Ability to manage confidential and sensitive information.
  • Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to self-start and streamline.
  • Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal, with professional communication at all levels.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (e.g. Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
  • Familiarity with SAP or similar systems is a plus.
  • Passion for the themed entertainment industry.
  • Demonstrated leadership or teamwork experience in academic, work, or extracurricular settings.
  • Resourceful, proactive, and eager to learn new tools and systems.
  • Previous internship or project-based experience in a financial or analytical role preferred.
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Curiosity to explore how finance supports creative, operational, and guest-facing decisions.

Additional Requirements:

Hybrid: This position has been designated as hybrid, which currently requires contributing from the office a minimum of three days per week. Beginning January 5, 2026, hybrid employees will be required to work from the office a minimum of four days per week. The Company reserves the right to change in-office requirements at any time.

Compensation: $22.00 - $25.00 per hour
