Job Description
We are hiring a Portfolio Specialist to support a dynamic, engineering/product/operations portfolio that spans multiple Agile delivery squads, business units, and strategic initiatives. This is a critical role that blends Scrum Mastering, Jira administration, project management, and executive reporting, enabling delivery velocity and operational excellence across our squads. This is an ideal role for someone with strong Jira and Scrum skills, a knack for process thinking, and a passion for connecting technical execution to business outcomes. You’ll partner closely with the Portfolio Manager (your direct manager), as well as project managers, engineers, product owners, and leadership across the enterprise.
What You'll Be Doing
- Serve as Scrum Master across up to 4 engineering/development squads.
- Coach teams on Agile best practices, backlog refinement, and sprint health.
- Support hybrid delivery environments using Agile, Scrum, and Waterfall.
- Create/manage Jira projects, boards, workflows, and automation rules.
- Build and maintain squad Confluence materials and knowledge spaces.
- Act as change coach for new systems, rituals, and delivery practices.
- Build executive-facing slides, documentation, and risk summaries.
- Support data analytics on project health and delivery metrics.
- Maintain a strong business lens in all communications and summaries.
Qualifications
Required Experience & Skills
- Minimum of 3 years in a Scrum Master, Agile Project Management, or Product Management role.
- Experience scrum mastering engineering, dev, operational squads.
- Mastery in Atlassian Cloud toolset (Jira, Confluence, Service Manager).
- Strong understanding of Agile and Waterfall delivery methodologies.
- Experience with change management.
- Mastery in PowerPoint and proficiency in Excel.
- Excellent writing and documentation ability.
- Extreme attention to detail and business acumen.
- Data storytelling skills and experience with metrics interpretation.
Nice to Have
- Experience in DevOps or infrastructure-focused environments.
- Prior ownership of Confluence spaces.
- Exposure to SAFe or scaled Agile delivery.
- Experience in DevOps or infrastructure-focused environments.
- Agile Coaching or onboarding experience.
- CSM, PMP, or similar certifications
