Comcast NBCUniversal has announced its intent to create a new publicly traded company ('Versant') comprised of most of NBCUniversal's cable television networks, including USA Network, CNBC, MSNBC, Oxygen, E!, SYFY and Golf Channel along with complementary digital assets Fandango, Rotten Tomatoes, GolfNow, GolfPass, and SportsEngine. The well-capitalized company will have significant scale as a pure-play set of assets anchored by leading news, sports and entertainment content. The spin-off is expected to be completed during 2025.
Job Description
Position Overview
Universal Entertainment is seeking a creatively driven Vice President of 360 Brand & Strategic Campaigns to lead the development of NBC’s cross-platform marketing for Special Projects, Tentpole Events, and Brand/Co-Brand Initiatives. This role shapes the visual storytelling and identity behind the brand’s most iconic and culturally resonant moments – from brand and seasonal campaigns to streaming initiatives and cross-company partnerships.
The VP will collaborate closely with the Vice President of 360 Launch & Campaign Design for Series, Specials & Late Night to ensure creative cohesion, strategic alignment, and seamless execution across all major marketing initiatives.
Key Responsibilities
- Campaign Leadership
Lead the design strategy, development and execution of campaigns for brand initiatives and high-profile events, including:- Brand Expression & Visual Messaging
- Seasonal, Tentpole & Milestone Packages
- FYC and Awards Campaigns
- Symphony Partnerships
- Brand Stewardship
Oversee NBC’s overarching visual identity across all creative touchpoints ensuring consistency, clarity, and resonance across platforms and audiences. - Cross-Company Collaboration
Partner with Brand and Consumer Engagement, Media & Planning, Publicity and Studio, Sales, Programming to develop campaigns that reflect strategic goals and elevate brand perception. - Talent & Show Collaboration:
Partner closely with showrunners, producers, talent, and internal stakeholders to ensure campaigns are authentic, collaborative and strategically aligned. - Creative Innovation
Drive the creation of bold, culturally relevant campaigns that break through across broadcast, streaming, digital, social, experiential, and out-of-home platforms. - Strategic Alignment
Work in tandem with the VP of Series, Specials & Late Night to ensure campaign strategies are complementary and aligned with broader network priorities and business parts, including Peacock, Sports and Bravo - Leadership & Team Development
Manage and mentor a team of Creative Directors, Designers and Finishers, fostering a culture of innovation, collaboration and excellence. - Performance & Optimization
Collaborate with Platform, Media, and Consumer Insights to evaluate campaign impact and apply learnings to future initiatives.
Qualifications
Basic Requirements:
- 12+ years of experience in creative marketing, brand design, or campaign development, ideally within entertainment, media, or consumer brands.
- Proven success leading large-scale, 360 and multi-platform campaigns for brand initiatives or high-profile events.
- Strong creative vision and storytelling ability, with a portfolio that demonstrates strategic thinking and design excellence.
- Exceptional leadership and communication skills, with experience managing teams and collaborating across departments.
- Deep understanding of audience behavior and platform-specific creative strategies.
- Passion for brand building, cultural relevance, and innovation.
Desired Characteristics:
- Experience with network branding, seasonal campaigns, and cross-divisional initiatives.
- Familiarity with entertainment marketing cycles and major industry events.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-stakes environment with multiple stakeholders and shifting priorities.
Additional Requirements:
- Hybrid: This position has been designated as hybrid, which currently requires contributing from the office a minimum of three days per week. Beginning January 5, 2026, hybrid employees will be required to work from the office a minimum of four days per week. The Company reserves the right to change in-office requirements at any time.
