Comcast NBCUniversal has announced its intent to create a new publicly traded company ('Versant') comprised of most of NBCUniversal's cable television networks, including USA Network, CNBC, MSNBC, Oxygen, E!, SYFY and Golf Channel along with complementary digital assets Fandango, Rotten Tomatoes, GolfNow, GolfPass, and SportsEngine. The well-capitalized company will have significant scale as a pure-play set of assets anchored by leading news, sports and entertainment content. The spin-off is expected to be completed during 2025.
Job Description
This position sits within Decision Sciences, an organization with a charter to provide valuable insights that enable decision-making across NBCU’s TV networks, FAST channels, and Peacock. The role will traverse the many distribution avenues that put NBCUniversal’s content on screen in front of audiences. Responsibilities:
- Develop expertise in a variety of datasets related to TV networks and streaming services
- Contribute to analyses that contextualize NBCU’s performance in the entertainment landscape across linear TV, SVOD, and FAST
- Support partnership forecasting processes, helping to maintain and update models using Excel
- Pull and interpret data from Nielsen and other industry reporting systems
- Monitor data sources, troubleshooting issues with internal teams or external vendors as needed
- Contribute to an inclusive work culture at NBCU
Qualifications
Basic Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business Analytics, Statistics, Mathematics, Economics or other relevant quantitative fields
Strong proficiency in forecasting and modelling with Excel
Hands-on experience compiling and transforming data in spreadsheets (e.g., Excel, Google Sheets)
Demonstrated ability to analyze data and identify patterns, trends, and anomalies
Proficiency in creating slide presentations (e.g., PowerPoint, Google Slides)

Hybrid: This position has been designated as hybrid, generally contributing from the office a minimum of three days per week.
