Comcast NBCUniversal has announced its intent to create a new publicly traded company ('Versant') comprised of most of NBCUniversal's cable television networks, including USA Network, CNBC, MSNBC, Oxygen, E!, SYFY and Golf Channel along with complementary digital assets Fandango, Rotten Tomatoes, GolfNow, GolfPass, and SportsEngine. The well-capitalized company will have significant scale as a pure-play set of assets anchored by leading news, sports and entertainment content. The spin-off is expected to be completed during 2025.

Job Description

As part of the Design Team, the Senior Designer is responsible for the conceptual development, art direction and execution of design in service of the Peacock brand. Working with the Head of Brand Design, the Sr. Designer is responsible for making sure all design created by the team and external agencies is in line with the overall Peacock brand strategy as well as the strategic imperatives of specific projects.

The Sr. Designer’s background should include formal training in graphic design and typography, a current knowledge of styles and trends in design, illustration and photography. Expert knowledge of graphics software such as Adobe Illustrator, InDesign, and Photoshop. They must display a versatility and willingness to apply different techniques and solutions to different products and an ability to work with mixed media.

The Design Team services Peacock Brand Design, On-Platform, Muti-title and Library Creative, Partnerships, Films, Originals, Growth & Performance Marketing, and supports the broader teams across company, so strong collaboration, communication and teamwork are required.

Sr. Designers are expected to be able to work both independently and collaboratively and multitask on more than one project. At times, they may be the creative project lead on a particular initiative, providing direction and oversight to other Jr. designers and creatives. Sr. Designers must be pro-active at meeting deadlines, organizing their work and acquiring information and resources required for their jobs. They must also pro-actively communicate about their work and acquire necessary approvals.

 

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Designing a large range of assets in support of Peacock brand and marketing
  • Storyboard/style frame promo graphics
  • Create graphics packages / toolkits
  • Problem solve and interpret design feedback from producers, creatives and management
  • Provide art direction and quality control on projects done externally by agencies
  • Manage deadlines and a brief with superior accuracy
  • Create a positive and supportive culture by being solution-oriented, and encouraging collaboration and respect
  • Ensure that we are always pushing design boundaries and reimagining solutions for every execution, from small projects to large initiatives

Qualifications

BASIC REQUIREMENTS:

  • 5+ years of professional experience in design
  • Strong proficiency & experience in design programs, including Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, Figma
  • Resourcefulness, diligence, attention to detail, and creative problem-solving skills
  • Strong discipline and organizational skills including the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously under strict deadlines
  • Strong strategic thinking and creative presentation skills are extremely important for the success of this position
  • A deep knowledge of designers, illustrators, photographers, animators, DPs and creative talent across the industry
  • A constantly evolving knowledge of design and art history, trends and emerging platforms

ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS:

  • Hybrid: This position has been designated as hybrid, which currently requires contributing from the office a minimum of three days per week. Beginning January 5, 2026, hybrid employees will be required to work from the office a minimum of four days per week. The Company reserves the right to change in-office requirements at any time.
