Comcast NBCUniversal has announced its intent to create a new publicly traded company ('Versant') comprised of most of NBCUniversal's cable television networks, including USA Network, CNBC, MSNBC, Oxygen, E!, SYFY and Golf Channel along with complementary digital assets Fandango, Rotten Tomatoes, GolfNow, GolfPass, and SportsEngine. The well-capitalized company will have significant scale as a pure-play set of assets anchored by leading news, sports and entertainment content. The spin-off is expected to be completed during 2025.
Job Description
As a Content Analyst, you will be responsible for balancing data and creativity to position our brands for success. You will also be responsible for conducting research, providing daily and weekly recommendations utilizing data to maximize performance.
Responsibilities:
- Assess research to inform programming, marketing and business strategy.
- Monitor the marketplace and our channel performance to recommend programming mix, optimize schedules, and maximize viewership.
- Focus on FAST Channel Viewership analysis to evaluate channel consumption.
- Provide real-time analytical reporting on a daily and weekly cadence to create forecasting strategies.
- Prepare and present clear, insightful reports that inform stakeholders about the content performance, insights, and industry trends.
- Develop audience data and insights through a variety of digital data sources to keep management updated on current ratings/trends.
- Forecast viewership across channels, partners, and measurement periods utilizing multiple data sets and research methodologies.
- Own and present key insights on overall service performance (e.g., trends, drivers) to Senior Leadership on a daily basis
PLEASE NOTE: This is a short-term position with an estimated duration of 24 months or less, unless otherwise amended or terminated as deliverables within this project are completed.
Qualifications
- At least 3 years of previous work experience, with programming, marketing, research or strategy disciplines preferred
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
- Demonstrated interest media content and data sets; modeling experience is a plus
- The ability to collaborate with others to problem solve and brainstorm creative ideas and solutions
- Strong analytical skills, with an ability to identify trends and make insightful recommendations
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to convey complex data insights to non-technical stakeholders
- Detail-oriented with a strategic mindset and a passion for driving results
Desired Characteristics:
- Experience with syndicated research datasets including comScore, Nielsen, and MRI
- Excellent Excel and PowerPoint skills
- Outstanding attention to detail
- Excellent communication and organizational skills; comfortable presenting and communicating with management
- An ability to work on several projects at once.
- Prior experience in research skills and forecasting.
- Data-driven approach to problem solving grounded in an analytical mindset, creativity and business acumen
- Strong analytical background with experience operating with large data sets to identify trends and actionable insights
Additional Requirements:
- Hybrid: This position has been designated as hybrid, which currently requires contributing from the office a minimum of three days per week. Beginning January 5, 2026, hybrid employees will be required to work from the office a minimum of four days per week. The Company reserves the right to change in-office requirements at any time.

Salary Range: $114,400 - 124,800
