Comcast NBCUniversal has announced its intent to create a new publicly traded company ('Versant') comprised of most of NBCUniversal's cable television networks, including USA Network, CNBC, MSNBC, Oxygen, E!, SYFY and Golf Channel along with complementary digital assets Fandango, Rotten Tomatoes, GolfNow, GolfPass, and SportsEngine. The well-capitalized company will have significant scale as a pure-play set of assets anchored by leading news, sports and entertainment content. The spin-off is expected to be completed during 2025.

Summer 2026 Recruitment Timeline:  

November 10 – December 5: Applications Open (may close early due to applicant volume)

Summer 2026 Internship Program:

Production Services

The Telemundo Operations & Technology Production Services internship offers exposure to end-to-end production processes for scripted and daily shows, events, and third-party projects at Telemundo Center. The intern will assist with social media outreach, industry event recommendations, client newsletters, market analysis, service positioning, and website optimization. Additional tasks include organizing set catalogs, improving data collection efficiency, and collaborating across NBCU teams.

Project Management - Marketing & Creative

The Project Management Intern will support the Marketing and Creative Project Management team in planning and executing campaigns across the Telemundo Network. The role involves assisting with timelines, documentation, meeting coordination, and data research, while collaborating with internal teams and external partners to ensure projects run smoothly. The intern will gain hands-on experience in project coordination and creative process management, contributing ideas to improve workflows and learning to identify risks in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.

Entertainment Publicity

The Entertainment Publicity intern will support the team responsible for developing and executing PR strategies for entertainment programming launches and on-air priorities. The intern will assist with media outreach, drafting and reviewing press materials, coordinating logistics for interviews and press events, and monitoring news coverage and social trends. Additional responsibilities include supporting influencer activations from ideation to execution and talent discovery through content creator tools.

Marketing, Creative Production

The Creative Production Team, part of the Marketing Department, is a dynamic group of professionals dedicated to executing promotional campaign shoots. The team collaborates closely with creative teams, operations, production management, marketing strategy, and other departments such as PR, Global Distribution, and Corporate Communications. They play a key role in all marketing projects requiring production, including launches for new seasons, series, reality shows, sports, and news. The intern will support the team by tracking project statuses, coordinating travel, managing department expenses, and assisting during pre-production with budgets and production plans.

Social Marketing

The Social Marketing team is a vital part of Telemundo’s marketing and creative division, managing the brand’s presence across major platforms such as Instagram, Facebook, TikTok, X, YouTube, Threads, and WhatsApp. This team develops creative campaigns and always-on content to promote Telemundo’s most important shows and titles while engaging fans. As an intern, you will assist with creating social media campaign calendars, producing content with internal and external resources, developing social strategies and ideas, managing online communities, and analyzing performance through social media metrics and reporting.

Qualifications

Basic Requirements:

  • Must be actively enrolled in a degree-granting program at an accredited institution during the entire duration of the program. Spring 2026 graduates are not eligible for our Summer 2026 internship program.
  • Current class standing of sophomore or above (30 credits).
  • Must be presently authorized to work for any employer in the United States and must not require work visa sponsorship from NBCUniversal now or in the future to retain authorization to work in the United States.
  • Must be available to work 40 hours per week from June 1 – August 7, 2026.
  • Must be willing to work in Miami, FL.

For further clarification, candidates currently on any student or exchange visa (e.g. F-1 CPT, F-1 OPT, J-1, M-1) are not eligible to apply unless they will be able to change or adjust to another status that grants work authorization without NBCUniversal sponsorship.

NBCUniversal is an E-Verify company, requiring all employees to have an active Social Security number. Any candidate receiving an internship offer must complete I-9 form with Social Security number within 3 days of hire.  

Desired Characteristics:

  • Students with class standing of junior or above preferred.
  • Cumulative GPA of 3.0 or above.
  • Bilingual in Spanish and English strongly preferred (written and verbal).
  • Proficiency in recording and editing applications. (GoPro, CapCut, etc.)
  • Constant Contact knowledge.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools.
  • SEO knowledge.
  • Social Media content distribution and campaign.

The hourly rate for undergraduate student interns is $19.00.

The hourly rate for graduate student interns is $25.00.
