Job Description
NBCUniversal has an opening for a Director, Guest Experience, Tours and Audiences NBC Studios as part of the Rockefeller Center Operations (RCO) Team. This is an opportunity to partner with clients across NBCUniversal to showcase NBCU brands to the general public and provide an elevated experience to all guests coming to 30 Rockefeller Plaza. This position reports to the Vice President, Guest Experience and requires a full-time on-site schedule.
JOB PURPOSE:
The Director will oversee all aspects of the guest experience and operations for the NBC Studio Tour and Live Audiences, ensuring operational excellence, elevated client service, and sustained business growth.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- Lead the Tour and Audience teams to drive business success, operational efficiency, and continuous improvement.
- Manage all day-to-day operations for the NBC Studio Tour and Audience process
- Oversee a team of approximately five full-time staff and three contractors, fostering a culture of collaboration, accountability and high performance.
- Develop and implement operational enhancements to elevate the live audience and tour experience.
- Partner closely with AV, Engineering, and IT teams to maintain and improve all audio-visual and technology elements supporting the Tour and Peacock Lounge.
- Ensure exceptional client service standards through proactive communication, prompt issue resolution, and consistent quality delivery.
- Oversee internal tour requests both public and private from inquiry through execution.
- Oversee Page training for Studio Tours and Audience Services, ensuring alignment with NBCU Page Program standards.
- Collaborate with the NBCU Page Program, Security, and Facilities teams to align on operational priorities and safety protocols.
- Partner with the Sr. Director of Guest Experience, Partnerships & Development on internal activations
- Work with entertainment show audience coordinators to ensure seamless, consistent, and brand-aligned audience operations across all productions.
- Strategically plan audience timelines and scheduling to optimize show and guest flow
Qualifications
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:
- 7+ years working experience in production or operations in a client facing role.
- Proven ability to be flexible and consistent in a fast-paced and ever-changing environment
- Demonstrated ability to effectively manage and train a team
- Influence and align cross-functional teams to drive key initiatives and achieve organizational goals
- Must be able to collaborate effectively with internal and external stakeholders
- Ability to actively problem-solve and critically think
- Demonstrate flexibility and openness to taking on expanded scope and evolving responsibilities in a dynamic environment
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Demonstrated attention to detail and able to perform tasks with minimal supervision and direction
ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENTS:
- College degree required
- Must be proficient in Excel and PPT
- Must be extremely organized and driven by efficiency
- Must have exceptional time management skills
- Must have unrestricted work authorization to work in the United States
- Must be 18 years or older
DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Familiarity with basic production operations
