Comcast NBCUniversal has announced its intent to create a new publicly traded company ('Versant') comprised of most of NBCUniversal's cable television networks, including USA Network, CNBC, MSNBC, Oxygen, E!, SYFY and Golf Channel along with complementary digital assets Fandango, Rotten Tomatoes, GolfNow, GolfPass, and SportsEngine. The well-capitalized company will have significant scale as a pure-play set of assets anchored by leading news, sports and entertainment content. The spin-off is expected to be completed during 2025.
Job Description
This is a rare opportunity to define the very future of the workplace. As our Manager of Workplace Product, you will act as a visionary leader, responsible for the strategy and execution of products that seamlessly blend our digital and physical spaces. You will not just build tools—you will be crafting the experiences that make Versant's new headquarters a place employee are proud to call home and a destination that delights our guests.
You will lead a team of three Product Managers, guiding them through the strategic build-vs-buy conundrum and empowering them to create and implement solutions for our global workforce. Your domain will span the entire employee journey; from the moment they enter a building to how they connect with their colleagues. This includes the strategic integration of digital signage, wayfinding, IoT devices, and even VR headsets, all vertically aligned with the underlying hardware and software.
This role requires a leader who can use "soft power" and influence to drive change and align stakeholders, ensuring our product vision is a shared reality. You will be at the forefront of our product lifecycle, defining, delivering, and measuring success with a data-driven mindset.
Qualifications
Basic Requirements:
- 6+ years of product management experience with a strong track record of delivering impactful digital products.
- Proven ability to conceptualize, manage, and optimize products throughout their full lifecycle.
- Skilled in communicating effectively with both technical and non-technical audiences, including executive leadership, to align on a shared product vision.
- A collaborative mindset with a proven ability to build strong relationships across departments and drive outcomes through influence and mentorship.
- Expertise in Agile principles and methodologies, with a track record of shaping and executing product roadmaps that deliver tangible user and business impact.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a data-driven approach to evolving product strategy and measuring success with key performance indicators (KPIs).
Desired Characteristics:
- Workplace & Smart Building Experience: Direct experience with smart building technology, including digital signage, wayfinding, and IoT integrations.
- Hardware/Software Integration: A demonstrated ability to manage products that sit at the intersection of hardware and software, understanding the unique challenges of integrating both.
- Emerging Technologies: Familiarity with technologies like VR, AR, or other immersive experiences and how they can be applied to the future of the workplace.
- Mentorship: A passion for inspiring, mentoring, and developing junior product managers and fostering a culture of innovation and continuous improvement.
Hybrid: This position has been designated as hybrid, generally contributing from the office a minimum of three days per week out of one of our hubs: Englewood Cliffs, NJ, New York, NY, and Universal City, LA.

Salary: $110,000-$150,000 (Bonus Eligible)
