Comcast NBCUniversal has announced its intent to create a new publicly traded company ('Versant') comprised of most of NBCUniversal's cable television networks, including USA Network, CNBC, MSNBC, Oxygen, E!, SYFY and Golf Channel along with complementary digital assets Fandango, Rotten Tomatoes, GolfNow, GolfPass, and SportsEngine. The well-capitalized company will have significant scale as a pure-play set of assets anchored by leading news, sports and entertainment content. The spin-off is expected to be completed during 2025.
Job Description
The US GST team is seeking a strategic and technically adept Manager, Tools Governance to lead the governance and optimization of tools supporting our streaming operations functions. This role will drive business and product development initiatives, ensure alignment with Agile methodologies, and oversee testing, user engagement, and change management processes to maximize product success and adoption.
Primary Responsibilities
Business & Product Development
Partner with stakeholders to define tool strategy aligned with business goals.
Lead cross-functional initiatives to evaluate, select, and implement new tools.
Agile Methodology Mastery
Champion Agile practices across engineering and product teams.
Ensure tools support Agile workflows, sprint planning, and backlog management.
End-to-End Testing Oversight
Establish governance standards for testing tools and frameworks.
Collaborate with QA and DevOps teams to ensure robust testing coverage.
Product Focus Groups
Organize and facilitate focus groups to gather feedback on tool usability and effectiveness.
Translate insights into actionable improvements and roadmap priorities.
Product Success & Acceptance
Define success metrics and acceptance criteria for tool deployments.
Monitor performance and adoption, driving continuous improvement.
Change Management
Develop and execute change management strategies for tool rollouts and upgrades.
Communicate changes effectively across impacted teams and ensure smooth transitions.
User Engagement Studies
Conduct user research and engagement studies to assess satisfaction and identify pain points.
Use findings to inform tool enhancements and training programs.
Qualifications
Qualifications
Minimum three (3) years’ experience in product governance, systems engineering, or enterprise tooling.
Strong understanding of Agile methodologies and enterprise testing practices.
Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
Experience with change management and user research techniques.
Ability to lead cross-functional teams and drive consensus.
Excellent interpersonal skills.
Ability to prepare and present written and oral communications of complex technical nature
Ability to escalate critical application issues calmly, quickly and efficiently in order to minimize disruptions and ability to work around failures to mitigate interruptions to Live productions
Familiar with project management software and methodologies

Strong organizational skills
Proficiency with AUTOCAD, MS Office Suite, Windows, Linux, Mac OS and Cloud solutions (i.e, AWS, GCP)
Development or demonstrable both hardware and software troubleshooting experience
