The well-capitalized company will have significant scale as a pure-play set of assets anchored by leading news, sports and entertainment content. The spin-off is expected to be completed during 2025.

Job Description

This position is responsible for supporting the Local Sales Market, specifically our Military and In Market Hotel trade partners, with the promotion and selling of Universal Studios Hollywood tickets. This position is responsible for implementation of the processes established by the Company management as the “standards” for the team.

ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Learn and become knowledgeable of the sales channel, the Universal Studios Hollywood brand, proprietary systems and brand marketing priorities.
  • Manage client relationships, including contracts, pricing and product updates, ensuring ideal USH positioning within client distribution systems
  • Support sales strategies to drive profitable revenue growth and market share, meeting or exceeding budget targets for attendance, revenue and per cap. Includes identifying new client prospects.
  • Professionally represent the theme park at tradeshows and other client events to strengthen the relationships of our brand in the marketplace and sales channel call to action
  • Participate in account management, including conducting quarterly business reviews with top accounts, contracting and contract addenda, budget management, analytic business reviews, training, events, FAMs, tradeshows.
  • Make strategic recommendations to drive business and grow market share. Contribute to business cases to support recommendations.
  • Seek preferred positioning of Universal ticket products sold with key partners. Collaborate with Trade Marketing to build strategic marketing plans in support of sponsorships, co-ops and promotions.
  • Demonstrate cross-functional partnership and collaboration with internal departments including legal, finance, IT, theme park operations, and guest communication
  • Ability to manage projects from concept to completion within budget parameters and within timeline expectations, while also communicating clear progress updates to stakeholders. 
  • Present recommendations for problem solving and continuous improvement
  • Perform other duties as assigned
  • Overnight Travel is required as needed

Qualifications

  • 2+ years Sales experience, directly supporting or directly selling
  • Ability to drive results by developing internal team relationships and external client relationships
  • Willingness and flexibility to attend weekend and night events
  • Willingness to travel
  • Valid driver’s license required
  • Must have reliable transportation and be able to conduct sales calls
  • The ability to lift and carry up to 25 pounds safely
  • Hybrid: This position has been designated as hybrid, generally contributing from the office a minimum of three days per week.

Desired Characteristics:

  • Prefer Bachelor’s degree from a four-year college or university is required; major in in Business Administration, Sales or Marketing is preferred
  • Must contribute positively to the team culture
  • Strong reading & writing skills
  • Strong communication skills (both verbal and written)
  • Ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment, with changing priorities and time pressures
  • Ability to adapt to the changes in business needs
  • Ability to interpret various data sets to understand how the business is performing and provide insights as to contributing factors
