Comcast NBCUniversal has announced its intent to create a new publicly traded company ('SpinCo') comprised of most of NBCUniversal's cable television networks, including USA Network, CNBC, MSNBC, Oxygen, E!, SYFY and Golf Channel along with complementary digital assets Fandango, Rotten Tomatoes, GolfNow, GolfPass, and SportsEngine. The well-capitalized company will have significant scale as a pure-play set of assets anchored by leading news, sports and entertainment content. The spin-off is expected to be completed during 2025.
Job Description
The Production Manager will oversee production management for Telemundo Network's unscripted productions and tentpoles. This role includes liaising with third-party production companies, assembling production budgets and teams for in-house productions, and driving continuous process improvements to enhance efficiency and execution.
Qualifications
Job Duties:
- Align production budgets with creative requirements, schedules, and milestones.
- Develop and negotiate budgets for in-house productions and third-party projects.
- Analyze cost reports, track budget pacing, and collaborate with Finance to ensure accurate expense reporting.
- Identify potential savings or overages and report to leadership.
- Ensure compliance with EHS/OSHA regulations and Telemundo’s technical and operational guidelines.
- Serve as the liaison between producers and internal teams (e.g., Finance, Legal, Standards & Practices, Rights & Clearances, Post-Production).
- Secure and manage legal documentation, including contractor agreements and location permits.
- Support business transformation initiatives and production management processes.
Basic Requirements:
- Proven ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong strategic thinking, analytical, and leadership skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English and Spanish.
- Ability to develop, analyze, and manage production budgets, forecasts, and cost reports.
- Experience in budget tracking, legal documentation, and compliance with company policies and regulations.
- Identify potential savings or overages and provide proactive solutions to leadership.
- Liaises between producers, internal departments, and third-party production companies with strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Anticipates production challenges and works proactively to resolve issues.
- Experienced in vendor negotiations and lead production management processes.

Additional Requirements:
- Must be 18 years or older.
- Must be authorized to work in the U.S. without restrictions.
- This position has been designated as hybrid, generally contributing from the office a minimum of three days per week.
- Must be willing to work in Miami, FL, and travel/work overtime or weekends as needed.
