Job Description

NBCUniversal is seeking a Director to join our Product, Measurement & Data team. This role will be instrumental in designing and delivering the next generation of measurement and optimization solutions that power NBCUniversal’s ad platforms and enable smarter investment decisions for advertisers.

This is an ideal role for someone with a strong technical foundation in data science, measurement, and decision science, combined with product strategy acumen. You will be responsible for architecting and delivering end-to-end measurement and optimization capabilities, ensuring they scale seamlessly across NBCUniversal’s ad ecosystem.

As a key leader, you will define the roadmap and technical vision for NBCUniversal’s performance measurement and optimization products. You will work closely with Data Science, Engineering, Product, Sales, and Strategy teams to deliver solutions that drive real business outcomes and enable performance-driven media buying.

Responsibilities:

  • Define and drive the product strategy and roadmap for NBCU’s measurement and optimization solutions, including experimentation, attribution, incrementality, and in-flight optimization.
  • Lead the solutioning and system design for new measurement and optimization products that enhance advertiser decision-making and improve campaign performance.
  • Architect and design the integration of measurement and optimization capabilities within NBCUniversal’s ad platforms, ensuring interoperability across planning, targeting, activation, and reporting workflows.
  • Translate validated models and methodologies—such as incrementality testing, uplift modeling, and attribution—into production-grade solutions, in partnership with Data Science and Engineering teams.
  • Act as the bridge between cross-functional teams, ensuring alignment on product priorities, technical requirements, and roadmaps.
  • Lead cross-functional discovery sessions and technical design workshops, gathering business and functional requirements to develop scalable solutions for internal teams as well as external partners.
  • Ensure NBCU’s measurement products generate actionable insights that directly power optimization systems, enabling smarter planning, targeting, and activation decisions.
  • Develop frameworks that leverage insights, experimentation, and predictive modeling to continuously refine advertiser strategies and maximize campaign outcomes.
  • Oversee the end-to-end product lifecycle—from prototyping to production deployment—with a focus on scalability, reliability, and operational efficiency.
  • Ensure all solutions adhere to data privacy and governance standards, integrating seamlessly with NBCU’s data collaboration environments.

Qualifications

Qualifications:

  • 6+ years of experience in product management, data science, or analytics engineering, with a focus on measurement and optimization in the digital media or ad tech industry.
  • Proven track record of designing and delivering scalable measurement and optimization solutions that drive business impact.
  • Deep expertise in marketing science methodologies, including incrementality, causal inference, attribution modeling, and optimization techniques.
  • Proficiency in data science and decision science frameworks, with hands-on experience applying machine learning and statistical modeling to real-world business challenges.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead cross-functional teams, driving complex initiatives from ideation through execution.
  • Strong communication and storytelling skills, with the ability to translate complex technical concepts into clear business value propositions.
  • Strategic thinker with the ability to bridge product strategy, system architecture, and business outcomes in a complex, evolving marketplace.
  • Passion for performance-driven media and a desire to transform advertising through smarter decisioning and optimization.

Hybrid: This position has been designated as hybrid, generally contributing from the office a minimum of three days per week.

Salary range: $130,000 - $200,000 (bonus and long-term incentive eligible)
