Job Description
Dateline is seeking an Executive Assistant/Program Coordinator to assist in all aspects of production of long form content. The Executive Assistant/Program Coordinator will support the Senior Executive Producer of Dateline NBC and NBC News Studios.
Responsibilities:
- Manage the Senior Executive Producer’s Outlook calendar by scheduling confidential meetings with high level internal/external production executives, talent and Dateline/NBC News Studios/Audio team members; moving & rescheduling meetings accordingly
- Book travel, create itineraries and compile expense reports for the Senior Executive Producer & other Dateline correspondents using Concur & BCD Travel
- Create presentations/slide decks for high level meetings using Microsoft PowerPoint and/or Canva
- Provide A/V support, booking conference rooms for meetings and on-site shoots
- Supply catering for on-site events
- Aid in long-form news/documentary production as needed
- Provide other miscellaneous administrative support to the Senior Executive Producer such as fielding phone calls, project research and keeping track of Dateline/NBC News Studios/Audio screeners
Qualifications
- At least 1 year of journalism experience
- Must have a Bachelor's degree in journalism or a related field
- Willing to commit to the role for a minimum of 2 years
- Must be willing to work in New York, NY

Additional Requirements:
- Hybrid: This position has been designated as hybrid, generally contributing from the office a minimum of three days per week.
What we’ll offer: Production Employee (PEP) Regular who works more than 1,000 hours per measurement period:
- Eligible for 401K after 1,000 hours worked in 12 consecutive months
- Eligible for Health and Welfare benefits on 1st day of employment
- Eligible to participate in Employee Stock Purchase Program after 90 days of employment
Salary range: $20-$23/hr
