Job Description

NBCUniversal’s Enterprise Product Team builds products that provide essential capabilities to organizations throughout NBCUniversal. The team leverages deep relationships with our business engagement and engineering counterparts to build cohesive, end-to-end solutions for their clients or users. The product portfolio is aligned around critical NBCU functions such as Content/Title Management, Data & Analytics, Scheduling & Distribution, and Content Sales.

As a part of the Product team, you will be responsible for several products in your department.  You will constantly communicate with clients on anything product-related, including development progress, deliverables, and timelines. You will lead grooming sessions and execute product demos and walkthroughs.  You are an expert in your area’s product features, capabilities, and functionality.  You will be a consultant on new multi-product initiatives or programs.  You will be a mentor to Product Specialists. 

Essential Responsibilities

  • Collaborate cross-functionally to align Product, Engineering, and Operations in on strategic roadmap initiates and requirement to build towards a common goal.
  • Identify problem areas and develop solutions that align with the product vision while meeting business needs across multiple stakeholders.
  • Build input criteria for large-scale project development and effectively pitch to a service-based development team.
  • Understand the requirements of a global supply chain in the media and entertainment industry and adapt modern technology to support its growth and sustainability.
  • Analyze and document complex business requirements and processes, construct conceptual data and process models, develop business requirements, and analyze large datasets to create clear, concise reports for executive leadership independently
  • Demonstrate an understanding of high and low code solutions and determine the best implementation strategies for product development.
  • Apply knowledge of Machine Learning and AI technology to software development and integration with user-facing products.
  • Ability to transition between Project and Product management while focusing on project deliverables, dependencies, and their impact on the ecosystem
  • Create detailed system designs and workflow diagrams to guide architecture decisions and business direction.
  • Experience in managing the end-to-end life cycle of a product
  • Engage across functions with multiple stakeholders, and translate requirements into well-documented product features
  • Collaborate across teams and with architecture and solutions leaders, to identify the best technical solution for a feature or capability that meets the needs of the clients
  • Define and own overall product vision, strategy, and success metrics for key initiatives around data warehouse and business intelligence.
  • Capture and analyze requests from teams across Marketing, Ad Sales, Product, and other teams to define data needs and prioritize roadmap

Qualifications

  • Minimum 8+ years of relevant work experience in the technology or media industry
  • Minimum 5+ years of work experience in Product Development
  • Minimum 3+ years’ experience in a role demonstrating strong technical, quantitative, and analytical skills
  • Minimum 3+ years’ experience in a role exhibiting excellent written and oral communications, effective interpersonal skills, project management, and strong formal presentation abilities
  • Minimum 3+ years’ experience working with product-analytics (i.e. Pendo, Fullstory, Mixpanel)
  • Expert knowledge of the SDLC process, with a focus on scoping, iteration planning, user story and acceptance criteria writing, rollout management

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Minimum 5+ years product management experience in media, gathering client requirements, writing product and/or technical specifications, working with development teams, and managing product roadmaps as well as launches
  • At least 3 years of direct client engagement experience
  • Experience in Television/Broadcast, Media, Technology, or related field
  • Experience with Agile methodology
  • Experience with using Jira or a similar system to track and maintain feature requirements and development progress
  • Natural problem solver, who is adaptable in a fast-paced environment and is highly collaborative

Fully Remote: This position has been designated as fully remote, meaning that the position is expected to contribute from a non-NBCUniversal worksite, most commonly an employee’s residence. Salary Range: $120,000 - $160,000 (bonus eligible)
