Job Description

The Advertising Sales Specialist acts as the primary liaison, bridging opportunities within Telemundo’s extensive portfolio. This role offers brands and advertisers innovative and impactful ways to engage with Telemundo’s highly valuable Hispanic audiences.

Job Duties:

  • Establish and maintain strong relationships with advertising sales teams and key internal stakeholders.
  • Partner with Insights and Data & Analytics teams to gather insights, formulate hypotheses, identify target audiences, and analyze ad campaign performance to drive actionable results.
  • Serve as the subject matter expert on programming and production initiatives and updates.
  • Work closely with daily shows to maximize revenue potential through commerce, integrations, sponsorships, and contextual tie-ins.
  • Oversee day-to-day operations, optimizing efficiencies and ensuring seamless information transfer.
  • Explore and implement strategies to scale digital opportunities.
  • Develop and lead touchpoints to provide immediate programming and production updates.
  • Create and distribute sales one-sheet informational documents for key priorities or timely specials.
  • Provide regular updates and informational sessions to the team and Vice President.
  • Monitor intellectual property monetization progress and maintain a tracking dashboard.
  • Partner with Vice President to educate various internal stakeholders on customer trends and opportunities for revenue growth across all content consumption platforms.
  • Conduct postmortem analyses to evaluate missed opportunities and derive learnings.
  • Participate in content planning meetings and translate initiatives into actionable opportunities.
  • Identify franchise and intellectual property development opportunities for sustainable growth.

Qualifications

Basic Requirements:

  • Extensive knowledge and expertise in network media, programming, production, ad sales, digital media, and emerging media formats.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple projects concurrently under tight deadlines in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
  • A creative and innovative thinker capable of identifying non-traditional opportunities that generate new revenue streams.
  • Prior experience in media sales.
  • Strong ability to collaborate with various departments to ensure timely project completion.
  • Skilled relationship builder with a positive demeanor, adept at navigating through a matrixed organization.
  • Exceptional oral and written communication skills
  • Self-motivated with the ability to manage oneself and meet deadlines.
  • Proficiency in learning and adapting to new platforms and technologies.

Additional Requirements:

  • This position has been designated as hybrid, generally contributing from the office a minimum of three days per week.
