Job Description

Universal Studios Hollywood is looking for a talented, self-motivated and ambitious Graphic Designer to join the in-house Creative Content and Production Team. A key creative role tasked with designing, maintaining and executing branded content for Universal Studios Hollywood’s Marketing & Sales efforts. The ideal candidate will have previous experience developing advertising materials across multiple media types, inclusive of digital, print, social media and ooh. Executing brand-worthy design with consistency of band standards.

Responsibilities

  • Design, produce and assist with the execution of graphic design for use in advertising, social media and sales collateral to support various marketing communication touchpoints.
  • Conceptualize and execute day-to-day graphic design / production support across programs, campaigns and projects.
  • Collaboratively work alongside content creators, designers, project managers, and agency contributors to help create compelling design.
  • Execute projects from concept to final delivery, including all versioning, resizing, and trafficking.
  • Retouching of lifestyle images and compositing of photo assets within timely manner.
  • Implementation and understanding of social media Best Practices.
  • Produce content that is consistent of UDX brand standards.
  • Willingness to brainstorm and create mocks ups for ideation.
  • Must be comfortable presenting creative ideas and communicating visual approach to Sr Management.  
  • Must have the ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage several projects concurrently.
  • Understanding of maintaining a brand’s voice and executing a consistent design look throughout a campaign.
  • Portfolio or examples of previous work required.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Qualifications/Requirements

  • 3+ years of relevant design experience
  • Advanced proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite products – Photoshop, InDesign, Illustrator, with basic knowledge of motion design using After Effects, Premiere, etc.
  • Understanding of the implementation of design elements across 360-degree marketing campaigns is a must.
  • Exceptional sense of layout and typography.
  • Strong photo retouching and image compositing skills.
  • Hybrid: This position has been designated as hybrid, generally contributing from the office a minimum of three days per week.

  • Excellent verbal and written communication, interpersonal, organizational & multi-tasking skills.
  • Preferred candidate has ability to design and animate creative assets for basic short form motion graphics including cinemagraphs, animated stickers, motion one sheets, etc.
