Job Description
Role Purpose:
The Sr. Director serves as a key leadership position on the NBCUniversal Corporate Financial Planning & Analysis team, reporting to the Vice President. The role provides the unique opportunity to become immersed in the Company's multiple business models, with the ability to gain an in-depth understanding of the total NBCU P&L. The Corporate Financial Planning and Analysis team is responsible for all planning and estimate cycles, internal reporting and related analysis for NBCUniversal consolidated financial results. The team also oversees the preparation of presentations to a wide spectrum of internal and external audiences including NBCUniversal and Comcast senior management, as well as Investor Relations.
Responsibilities:
- Prepare deliverables for all planning and forecasting cycles (budget, quarterly forecasts, long range plans)
- Oversee all pacing and reporting processes for each quarterly and year-end close
- Create high-level financial models to derive projections for the near future
- Foster collaboration with FP&A counterparts across NBCU businesses
- Support quarterly Investor Relations and external reporting processes; liaise with Corporate Controllership and External Reporting teams, when necessary
- Prepare analysis and presentations for senior NBCUniversal management, Comcast Board of Directors and Comcast management
- Assist in coordinating all Financial Planning and Analysis activities across the company portfolio
- Manage a direct report
- Execute on other ad hoc requests as assigned by the Executive Vice President of Financial Planning and Analysis and/or Chief Financial Officer
Qualifications
Basic Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree and a minimum eight years’ experience in Accounting, Finance or related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience
- 8+ years of experience in Financial Planning and Analysis
Desired Characteristics:
- Solid financial modeling skills
- Demonstrated leadership skills with experience leading a team of finance professionals
- Outstanding communication skills with the ability to synthesize data and complex information, and present succinctly to executives and stakeholders at all levels
- Previous experience in the media and entertainment industry highly preferred
- Ability to think creatively and strategically while handing difficult and complex issues in a corporate setting
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
This position has been designated as hybrid, generally contributing from the office a minimum of three days per week.
