Job Description
NBC 7 and Telemundo 20 San Diego internships provide students with real world experience and exposure to working in the television news industry. Internships at NBC 7 and Telemundo 20 are paid. Course credit is optional.
As a News Intern for our station, you will work 15 hours per week and gain the following experience ...
Writing/Story Producing:
- Assist with script writing and translating for broadcast
- Create graphics for broadcast
- Log sound bites
Editing:
- Edit videos for linear and digital
Digital:
- Contribute to NBC 7 and Telemundo 20 digital content and social media accounts.
- Write and translate scripts for digital
Qualifications
Basic Requirements:
- Must be proficient in the use of Microsoft Office Suite (MS Word, PowerPoint, Excel)
- Must be bilingual English/Spanish both written and verbal with excellent grammar

Eligibility Requirements:
- In pursuit of an associate, bachelor’s, or graduate degree at an accredited institution. Must be able to provide documentation to confirm your degree progress.
- Current class standing of junior or above
Required On-Site: This position is required to be performed in-person from an NBCUniversal-designated worksite.
The pay rate for this position is $16.85 per hour.
