Job Description

The Operations & Technology talent team at NBCUniversal is looking for a creative, high-energy Talent and Pipeline Program Specialist. Reporting to the Director, Pipeline Strategy and Operations, this role is right for you if you aspire to focus on early career development or support as an HR Business Partner and want a broad work experience to uncover your ideal path. 

We support the Operations & Technology business unit across NBCU with a population of approximately 4,000 employees globally. Our client group powers major NBCU events like the OlympicsNational Elections, popular TV shows, revered News programs, and much more, and they have a direct hand in influencing culture around the World.  

In this role, you’ll assist in the management of early career pipelines like our Media Tech Internship and Media Tech Associate Rotational Programs. You’ll learn how we forecast and plan a recruiting season, curate an inclusive cohort experience, and serve as HR contact for the group. You will also act as a liaison between our team and our Corporate Social Responsibility team on all Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion partnerships and early STEM pipeline initiatives.

Responsibilities:
Pipeline Program Management

  • Design and maintain communications calendar for early career pipeline programs
  • Create and maintain dashboards that provide real-time visibility into the success of our pipeline programs
  •  Support the transition process for our associates post-Program including maintaining accurate records of associate conversions and exits
  • Plan all logistics and develop content for regularly scheduled trainings to support the learning and development of Associates, including the facilitation of trainings
  • Provide integral support to the Associate Program Rotation Process
  • Serve as an expert and point of contact for all Associate Program policies
  • Own the design and execution of the 10-week Summer Media Tech Internship Program, including the in-person orientation kickoff, intern events, and annual capstone project
  • Maintain Media Tech calendar of events, including rotation report-outs, quarterly coffee chats with senior leadership, and technical trainings
  • Organize and facilitate early-career learning events, speaker series, roundtables, and networking sessions

Talent Pipeline Operations Support 

  • Help create fun & exciting marketing materials selling our pipeline opportunities, to be used in info sessions, social media campaigns, and other outreach efforts,
  • Manage our internal Media Tech Program SharePoint, auditing content to ensure relevancy and accuracy with the direction of the program
  • Partner with Early Careers Recruiter to support the annual Media Tech Associate Program recruitment, including coordinating virtual recruitment days and maintaining clear communication with candidates and interview teams
  • Serve as a company ambassador at recruitment events, as needed, and regularly facilitate information sessions about the program

HR Business Partner Support

  • Oversee onboarding processes for incoming Associates, including administration of background checks, I-9 verifications, and collecting any additional information as needed
  • Own all HR transactions during Media Tech lifecycle

Qualifications

Basic Requirements:

  • Proficiency with MS Power Point, Excel, Word 
  • Experience with Outlook /Calendars 
  • Bachelor’s degree in HR, Psychology, Communications, or related field 

Desired Characteristics:

  • Organized & Detail-Oriented – Event planning is a significant part of this role. You double and triple check every logistic before it’s show time. 
  • Excellent Communication – Designing power point decks is your happy place; And getting up on stage to present (whether in person or virtual) is even better. 
  • Analytical – You’ve never met a data point didn’t like. You can tell a story with data and numbers with ease.  
  • Creatively Curious – You like researching and trying new approaches that keep us ahead of the curve. 
  • Resourceful – If you don’t have the answer, you figure it out. You’re comfortable navigating a complex environment to obtain info and seek buy-in.  
  • Finally, you’re team-oriented and want to understand + drive the larger Org Development talent strategy. 

 

This position has been designated as hybrid, generally contributing from the office a minimum of three days per week.

This position is eligible for company sponsored benefits, including medical, dental and vision insurance, 401(k), paid leave, tuition reimbursement, and a variety of other discounts and perks.
