Job Description

NBCUniversal’s Enterprise Product Team builds products that provide essential capabilities to organizations throughout NBCUniversal. The team leverages deep relationships with our business engagement and engineering counterparts to build cohesive, end to end solutions for their clients or users. The Director, Content Finance is responsible for product strategy, program delivery, and operational support for the financial systems of NBCUniversal’s Film and TV Studios business. This position is responsible for product delivery for financial systems that support participations & residuals, film & television distribution, and production accounting. 

Essential Responsibilities 

  • Manage a team of full time employees and contractors to deliver ongoing initiative including subledger consolidation to SAP S/4 and migration of existing SAP ECC to S/4 HANA. 
  • Drive strategy, evaluate and execute technology initiatives to support business growth and transformation, including oversight of mission critical business applications supporting studio financial systems  
  • Serve as the expert in your product suite, its use cases, integrations, and how it supports the business as it exists today, and as it changes.   
  • Work with business solutions and engineering to develop and deliver on product roadmaps that are aligned with key business priorities and the Operations and Technology long range plan. 
  • Drive yearly technology planning and provide regular updates to O&T leadership on operational issues, service levels, and product status 
  • Oversee the creation and management of product backlog for Film and TV studio finance products, supporting participations & residuals, film & television distribution, and production accounting.   
  • Engage across functions with multiple stakeholders, translate requirements into well documented product features 
  • Collaborate across teams and with architecture and solutions leaders, to identify the best technical solution for a feature or capability that meets the needs of the clients 

Qualifications

Basic Requirements:

  • 10+ years of professional experience in a technology role with 5+ years of experience in a technical leadership role 
  • Demonstrated project delivery for financial systems supporting mission critical business functions 
  • Able to simplify complex technologies, data flows, and business processes into clear and concise communication for both executives and execution teams.  
  • Strong communication skills to present to high-level executives on product statuses and to engage with product owners and development teams in day-to-day execution. 
  • Experience implementing, maintaining, or integrating with SAP 

Desired Characteristics:

  • Media and Entertainment experience strongly preferred 
  • Knowledge in various SAP modules and Integration development working on large-scale SAP S/4 transformations. Experience with Vistex Rights and Royalties a plus. 
  • Business Process re-engineering or process improvement experience with broad-based information systems.  
  • Worked in a Global environment at a leadership level and demonstrated growth and achievement.  
  • Experience in transformation projects e.g., from SAP ECC to S/4 HANA
