Electrical Supervisor – Navantia UK (Methil)

Navantia UK is strengthening its engineering capability at our Methil site and is looking for an experienced Electrical Supervisor to lead electrical activities across complex heavy engineering projects. This role suits a confident, hands-on leader with strong technical expertise and a commitment to safety, quality and delivery.

The Role

You’ll be responsible for supervising electrical installation, maintenance and commissioning activities, coordinating teams on site and ensuring work is completed safely, efficiently and to specification. Working closely with other engineering disciplines, you’ll play a key role in keeping projects on schedule and to the highest standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Supervise and coordinate electricians and electrical technicians on heavy engineering projects

• Ensure all electrical work complies with company standards, legislation and safety regulations

• Plan, schedule and allocate resources to meet project milestones

• Oversee installation, testing, maintenance and commissioning of electrical systems, including power distribution, motors, drives, control panels and switchgear

• Diagnose and resolve complex electrical issues, providing technical guidance to the team

• Carry out inspections and quality checks against drawings and specifications

• Work collaboratively with mechanical, civil and instrumentation teams

• Maintain accurate records, reports and compliance documentation

• Promote a strong safety culture and ensure safe systems of work are followed

• Support training, mentoring and development of team members

What We’re Looking For

• Proven experience supervising electrical teams in heavy engineering, industrial or construction environments

• Strong technical knowledge of electrical systems, PLCs, motors, switchgear and power distribution

• Ability to read and interpret electrical drawings, schematics and technical documentation

• Confident leadership, problem-solving and decision-making skills

• Recognised electrical qualification

• 18th Edition certification is desirable

• Additional certifications in safety, ship repair or project management are advantageous
