Job Description
Duties and Responsibilities
- Perform NDT inspections using methods such as UT (Ultrasonic Testing), MT (Magnetic Particle Testing), PT (Penetrant Testing), and VT (Visual Testing).
- Interpret and evaluate test results in accordance with applicable codes, standards, and specifications.
- Ensure compliance with ISO 3834 welding quality requirements and TWI best practices.
- Prepare and maintain accurate inspection reports and documentation.
- Collaborate with welding inspectors, quality engineers, and production teams to ensure product integrity.
- Participate in audits and quality reviews as required.
- Maintain and calibrate NDT equipment in accordance with manufacturer and industry standards.
- Adhere to safety protocols and promote a culture of safety in all testing activities.
Qualifications
Qualifications
- Certification in NDT methods (e.g., PCN, ASNT Level II or III, or equivalent).
- Proven experience and qualifications in a heavy steel fabrication or marine environments.
Skills
- Familiarity with ISO 3834, 5817 EN 1090, and TWI welding inspection standards.
- Strong understanding of welding processes, metallurgy, and defect characterization.
- Excellent attention to detail and analytical skills.
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and weld maps.
