Job Description

The Senior Associate, Health Systems Integration provides administrative and substantive support for NASTAD’s technical assistance and capacity building assistance for Ryan White HIV/AIDS Programs (RWHAP), with a focus on Ending the HIV Epidemic (EHE) initiative activities. This position works closely with entire Health Systems Integration and Health Care Access teams to support programmatic activities.

Essential Duties

  • Under the supervision of the Associate Director, Health Systems Integration, support key activities under NASTAD’s HRSA/HAB cooperative agreements focused on Ending the HIV Epidemic, including assisting in dissemination of a needs assessment, supporting development and execution of webinars, peer learning opportunities and calls, and supporting other technical assistance deliverables
  • Provide administrative and logistics support to convene health department staff in-person meetings
  • Represent NASTAD in various meetings with federal and national partners and other stakeholders
  • Attend and represent NASTAD at conferences and participate in relevant external meetings
  • Interact with, and respond in a timely manner to, the needs of health department staff members
  • Perform other duties as assigned

 

 

Qualifications

Experience/Education

  • Bachelor degree or equivalent (4 years of work experience is equivalent to a Bachelor degree) and 2-3 years of relevant work experience
  • Prior experience working in the area of HIV and/or hepatitis 

Minimum Competencies

  • Experience with governmental public health programs (preferably hepatitis prevention or surveillance programs)
  • Attention to Communication: The ability to ensure that information is passed on to others who should be kept informed.
  • Building Collaborative Relationships: The ability to develop, maintain, and strengthen partnerships with others inside or outside the organization who can provide information, assistance, and support.
  • Advanced Written Communication: The ability to use formal writing styles or advanced literary techniques and formats suited to the audience.
