Job Description

MUST HAVE TRAVEL SALES EXPERIENCE

Our Regional Sales Directors are the ambassadors of our brand and work with the travel advisor community to promote and sell our cruise offerings. The primary goal of the RSD is to increase revenue in their assigned territory. Job responsibilities include establishing new relationships with key travel advisors, leveraging existing relationships with key travel advisors, providing sales training and sales support to travel advisors, and representing Atlas at trade shows and events. Successful candidates are able to:

 

·         Establish and maintain profitable long-term relationships with the right portfolio of travel sellers in their territory, which currently includes the following states and regions: Alaska, Arizona, California, Colorado, Hawaii, Idaho, Montana, Nevada, Oregon, Utah, Washington, Wyoming, Alberta, British Columbia, Manitoba and Saskatchewan

·         Conduct 20 – 25 sales calls per week (combination of virtual and in-person)

·         Set revenue and growth targets with key accounts and develop sales and marketing plans to support achievement of targets

·         Cultivate affinity and group business

·         Monitor revenue of key accounts on a monthly basis to track progress to goal and follow up as needed

·         Provide on-going staff training both in person and via webinars to ensure travel advisors are knowledgeable about our brand and current promotions

·         Leverage social media platforms to engage, educate and communicate with travel advisors

·         Create and send weekly sales and marketing update email communications to your accounts using company CRM tools

·         Attend trade shows and events that will have a positive impact on revenue growth in your territory

·         Utilize company CRM tools to maintain territory database

·         Manage annual cooperative marketing budget and provide monthly forecasts

·         Submit weekly sales reports and participate in scheduled sales calls and sales meetings

·         Represent Atlas at consortia and top account meetings and events as assigned

·         Escort onboard FAM trips

·         Maintain a high level of product knowledge and understand the overall marketplace, competitors’ strengths and weaknesses, and economic and industry trends

·         Represent Atlas with professionalism and enthusiasm at all times

Qualifications

·         You have at least 3 years of field sales experience and can travel within a large territory on a regular basis, including evenings and weekends as needed. 

·         You have established contacts with premium and luxury cruise sellers in your territory.

·         You are goal oriented, an overachiever and have a track record of consistently hitting your sales goals.

·         You are comfortable using technology and social media to engage with your clients for both sales training and promotional purposes.

·         You are a team player, strategic thinker and have strong negotiation skills.

·         You have demonstrated you are self-starter, able to work independently and manage your time effectively.

·         You demonstrate exceptional communication skills, both verbal and written.

·         You reside in either California or Washington.

·         You can bend and lift 25 pounds with or without reasonable accommodation.

·         You are able to sit, stand and walk for long periods of time
