Our Client is an oil and gas drilling services company providing onshore and offshore drilling, well construction, rig operations, and related support services to the energy industry. The Mechanic is responsible for maintaining, inspecting, troubleshooting, and repairing mechanical equipment and systems on the rig to ensure safe, reliable, and efficient operations.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on mechanical equipment.
• Inspect, troubleshoot, and repair engines, pumps, compressors, generators, and other machinery.
• Conduct routine servicing, lubrication, and adjustment of equipment.
• Diagnose mechanical faults and recommend appropriate repairs.
• Replace worn or damaged components.
• Maintain accurate maintenance and repair records.
• Assist with equipment installation, commissioning, and testing.
• Ensure tools and workshop equipment are properly maintained.
• Report equipment defects and potential failures.
• Comply with company HSE procedures and participate in safety activities.

• Minimum of OND/NABTEB/Trade Test in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
• 3–5 years relevant experience in mechanical maintenance, preferably on drilling rigs, offshore vessels, or oil & gas facilities.
• Experience with diesel engines, pumps, compressors, hydraulic systems, and other mechanical equipment.
• Relevant offshore safety certification such as BOSIET/FOET where applicable.
• Valid offshore medical fitness certificate.
• Mechanical maintenance or manufacturer-specific certifications are an advantage.
