Our Client is an oil and gas drilling services company providing onshore and offshore drilling, well construction, rig operations, and related support services to the energy industry. The Welder performs welding, fabrication, repair, and maintenance activities on structural components, piping, equipment, and other metalwork required for safe rig operations.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform welding and fabrication work using approved welding techniques.
• Repair and fabricate metal structures, pipes, platforms, supports, and equipment.
• Inspect materials and welding surfaces before commencing work.
• Read and interpret basic engineering drawings and welding specifications.
• Operate welding machines, cutting equipment, grinders, and other workshop tools.
• Perform grinding, cutting, fitting, and finishing activities.
• Conduct visual inspections of completed welds.
• Maintain welding equipment and tools.
• Follow approved hot-work procedures and Permit to Work requirements.
• Ensure proper storage and handling of welding consumables.
• Maintain good housekeeping in the workshop and work areas.
• Comply with all HSE requirements and use appropriate PPE.

• Minimum of Trade Test/Technical Certificate/OND in Welding, Fabrication, or related field.
• 3–5 years welding/fabrication experience, preferably in oil & gas, marine, or offshore operations.
• Valid welding certification relevant to the required welding processes is preferred.
• Experience with SMAW, GTAW/TIG, GMAW/MIG, or other applicable welding processes.
• Knowledge of hot-work procedures and welding safety.
• Valid offshore safety certification and medical fitness where applicable.
