Our client is a maritime company that commenced operations in 2008, as the first new port development in Lagos since the construction of Tin Can Island. The company's opening was a decisive factor in eliminating port congestion and improving efficiency at Lagos Port.

Since their inception, they have introduced a range of world-class handling solutions that, together with their state-of-the-art digital platform, deliver the highest levels of safety and efficiency for both shipside and terminal operations. They have been providing seamless integration, which greatly facilitates cargo clearance and export.  

They are urgently seeking to hire a suitable Senior Data Analyst.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Extract and manipulate large data volumes from SQL Server for ad-hoc analysis.
2. Ensure data quality and integrity through rigorous validation processes.
3. Support business departments in defining metrics and dashboards for performance monitoring.
4. Identify inefficiencies or anomalies in existing data flows and propose optimization solutions.

Technical Requirements (Mandatory):

• SQL Server: Advanced/Expert level. Proficiency in writing complex queries, performance tuning, and creating Stored Procedures, Views, and Functions.
• Data Modeling: Proven experience in designing relational data models and data warehouse architectures.
• Data Analysis: 5+ years of experience in KPI monitoring, trend analysis, and executive reporting.
• BI Tools: Full proficiency in data visualization tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau, or similar).

Soft Skills:

1. Problem Solving: Ability to work independently on complex issues.
2. Communication: Capability to translate technical jargon into clear reports for management.
3. Attention to Detail: Extreme precision (essential for data quality management).
