Their primary clients include financial institutions, manufacturing businesses, retail and distribution companies, oil & gas companies (up, mid and downstream), logistics companies, and Government enterprises.
They have 17 years of successfully providing technical support, due diligence, monitoring and evaluation, project defense, and project audits in mostly the energy and infrastructure space, to lenders (commercial and DFIs), large corporate organizations, Governments, and multinational corporations on the African continent.
As a specialist projectized solution provider, with several first-class projects that have been successfully conceptualized and completed within our portfolio, our activities are being managed and operated by individuals that possess various experiences in the field of both local and international project development, management, project risk, and technical advisory services.
They seek to hire a Project Engineer in the Electrical and Mechanical discipline with excellent analytical skills. With a strong ability to carry out research and develop presentations.
Experience level of 3 - 10 years with technical writing, worked in Oil and Gas producing fields, Processing plants, and Gas Facilities, and understands the basic principles of some of these processing facilities, including an exposure to Fabrications, installation.
Job Description
- Completes engineering projects by organizing and controlling project elements.
- Develops project objectives by reviewing project proposals and plans and conferring with management.
- Determines project responsibilities by identifying project phases and elements, assigning personnel to phases and elements, and reviewing bids from contractors.
- Determines project specifications by studying product design, customer requirements, and performance standards.
- Completes technical studies and prepares cost estimates.
- Confirms product performance by designing and conducting tests.
- Determines project schedule by studying project plan and specifications, calculating time requirements, and sequencing project elements.
- Maintains project schedule by monitoring project progress, coordinating activities, and resolving problems.
- Controls project plan by reviewing design, specifications, and plan, scheduling changes, and recommending actions.
- Controls project costs by approving expenditures and administering contractor contracts.
- Prepares project status reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing information and trends; recommending actions.
- Maintains safe and clean working environment by enforcing procedures, rules, and regulations.
- Maintains project data base by writing computer programs; entering and backing up data.
- Maintains product and company reputation by complying with federal and state regulations.
- Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.
Qualifications
Education, Experience, and Licensing Requirements:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s of Science in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, Architecture, or other related discipline required
- 5+ years of project experience required
- Proficient with MS Office Suite of tools, exposure to schedule software, preferably Primavera (P6) preferred
- Past project management or project engineering experience (essential)
- Experience of managing elements of scheduling, project cost capture/reporting (essential)
- Computer literate in MS Office in Outlook, Word, Excel and Project (essential) (P6 desirable)
- Self-motivated and able to work to deadlines without direction/supervision (essential)
