They seek to hire an experienced and competent Store Officer
The Store Officer is responsible for managing and overseeing the day-to-day operations of the company’s warehouse or storage facility. This role ensures the proper maintenance of inventory records, compliance with safety standards, and efficient stock management to support the company's operational needs.
Job Description
- Inventory Management: Maintain accurate records of inventory levels, receipts, issues, and returns, ensuring up-to-date stock information and minimal discrepancies.
- Stock Control: Perform regular stock counts and inspections, organize and label inventory, and track inventory across multiple locations as required.
- Receiving and Inspection: Receive, inspect, and record deliveries, ensuring that items received meet the quality and quantity requirements specified in purchase orders.
- Storage and Organization: Arrange and store items systematically for easy access and retrieval, optimizing space utilization within the store or warehouse.
- Documentation: Maintain detailed documentation of stock movement, prepare inventory reports, and handle any paperwork related to inbound and outbound shipments.
- Compliance and Safety: Adhere to company policies on storage procedures, inventory controls, and health and safety regulations. Ensure that the warehouse is kept clean, organized, and safe.
- Coordination and Communication: Collaborate with procurement, and logistics teams to ensure inventory meets demand and support other departments with inventory needs.
- Loss Prevention: Implement loss prevention procedures to safeguard inventory, report any shortages, damages, or discrepancies immediately, and investigate causes.
- Inventory Optimization: Analyze stock levels and work with management to determine minimum and maximum stock levels to avoid overstock or stockouts.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree or Diploma in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, or a related field.
- 2+ years of experience in warehouse, inventory, or store management. Experience in a similar industry is an advantage.
- Knowledge of ERP systems is an advantage
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and inventory management software
- Attention to Detail
- Organizational Skills
