Company Description

Our Client is an indigenous oil & gas servicing company providing a vast range of services ranging from marine support operations, maritime security, vessel chartering, and marine consultancy. They seek to hire a Financial Accountant who shall be responsible for running the accounting and financial activities of an organization. 

 

Job Description

  • Gather and monitor financial data (e.g. sales revenues and liabilities)
  • Prepare monthly, quarterly and annual statements (balance sheets and income statements)
  • Forecast costs and revenues
  • Manage tax payments
  • Organize internal audits
  • Prepare budgets (for the entire company and by department)
  • Monitor and report on accounting discrepancies
  • Conduct detailed risk analyses to assess potential investments
  • Analyze financial trends
  • Perform month-end and year-end close processes

Qualifications

  • A degree in Accounting/Finance and MBA is preferable
  • Preferred Industry background – Retail/FMCG/Oil & Gas
  • Experience – A minimum of 5 Years
  • Qualification – ACA, ACCA, or CIMA qualified.

  • IFRS application, Reconciliations
  • Considerable exposure to ERPs
  • Transactions Review & Routine Financial Reporting
  • Fixed assets management
  • Cash flow reporting
  • Banking relations
  • Management of monthly book close in line with committed timelines
  • Periodic control reviews
  • Revaluation of foreign currency-denominated balances
  • Oversight on transactions management (AP, AR, GL, treasury)
  • Operations and commercial literacy.
  • Detail and process-oriented.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines under pressure.
  • Self-starter with a strong sense of urgency and follow-up skills
