Our Client is a retail supermarket located in the heart of Victoria Island. They urgently need an experienced Retail Store Manager to join their team. You are responsible for facilitating and supervising daily operations at the store to make sure that employees work together effectively to make sales and ensure customer satisfaction.

Job Description

  • Leads the entire team in meeting and exceeding sales plans.
  • Drives high unit velocity and outstanding comps by ensuring an impeccably presented sales floor and outstanding customer experience.
  • Coaches and mentors the team in multiple retail skill set to elevate the store's performance.
  • Ensures the store is a showpiece for our customers. Ensures our store always delivers pretty, clean, full merchandising and correct signage & pricing for the best shopping experience.
  • Embraces their role as an analyst, using store reports to identify sales opportunities.
  • Plans the right product merchandising, windows, and displays based on their inventory and coaches their team to deliver on that plan.
  • Passionately leads outstanding people processes, and team development and ensures an amazing applicant and employee experience.
  • Takes ownership and leads strong operational processes and routines that drive results.
  • Understands and insists on a store and team that follow best practices and policy & procedure for a healthy, stable store.
  • Serves as a master of the stock and replenishment function in their store.
  • Ensure that the store is clean and ready for opening
  • Create and submit monthly reports
  • Manage petty cash
  • Calculate and remit taxes
  • Prepare payroll

 

Qualifications

  • ND/HND/BSC Qualification
  • A minimum of 5 years of experience working in a retail supermarket or environment, ideally a year in a supervisory capacity
  • Must be smart and energetic
  • Excellent customer management skills
  • Strong organizational skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Skills
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills
  • Good command of English
