Company Description
Our Client is an indigenous oil & gas servicing company providing a vast range of services ranging from marine support operations, maritime security, vessel chartering, and marine consultancy. They seek to hire a Financial Accountant who shall be responsible for running the accounting and financial activities of an organization.
Job Description
- Gather and monitor financial data (e.g. sales revenues and liabilities)
- Prepare monthly, quarterly and annual statements (balance sheets and income statements)
- Forecast costs and revenues
- Manage tax payments
- Organize internal audits
- Prepare budgets (for the entire company and by department)
- Monitor and report on accounting discrepancies
- Conduct detailed risk analyses to assess potential investments
- Analyze financial trends
- Perform month-end and year-end close processes
Qualifications
- A degree in Accounting/Finance and MBA is preferable
- Preferred Industry background – Retail/FMCG/Oil & Gas
- Experience – A minimum of 5 Years
- Qualification – ACA, ACCA, or CIMA qualified.
Skillset
- IFRS application, Reconciliations
- Considerable exposure to ERPs
- Transactions Review & Routine Financial Reporting
- Fixed assets management
- Cash flow reporting
- Banking relations
- Management of monthly book close in line with committed timelines
- Periodic control reviews
- Revaluation of foreign currency-denominated balances
- Oversight on transactions management (AP, AR, GL, treasury)
- Operations and commercial literacy.
- Detail and process-oriented.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines under pressure.
- Self-starter with a strong sense of urgency and follow-up skills
