Job Description

  • Actively participate in the strategic and daily execution of the operations function.
  • Manage the day-to-day marine security operations, marine logistics, and offshore security in an effective and efficient manner.
  • Provide support in the implementation of a security plan and operations process manual.
  • Maintain a high level of confidence using the Operations CRM system.
  • Reporting and communicating faults or administrative requirements for the CRM system as/when required.
  • Monitoring of Operations Patrol Boat engineering, HSE, ICT, and logistics issues in the Operations Command Centre.
  • Ensure that the Operations team is proficient in using maritime voice procedures for operational communications.
  • Ensure documentation (Naval Clearance) for operations is obtained before allowing Operations Patrol Boats to provide security duties to client's vessels.
  • Ensure feedback forms are sent to the departing CVs from territorial waters.
  • Ensure the Operational SOPs are followed by all operations team members.
  • In emergency situations, the Operations Lead must ensure that the Operations Managers are contacted and alerted immediately.
  • Administration and maintenance of control systems and CRM databases (Vessel list, patrol boat daily Bunker usage, Patrol boat movement sheet).
  • Work with the Operations Manager in coordinating pre-deployment briefing, post-deployment debriefing, and reporting procedures.
  • Adhere to the Operations Daily Sitrep and prepare the document daily for submission to the Operations Manager.’
  • Monitor the ROB readings and consumption levels of all Operations Patrol Boat movements with 24 hours readings.
  • Coordinate the Bunkering of Operations Patrol Boats in conjunction with the approval system.
  • Ensure all Operations Patrol Boat Communication systems including the tracking system, are monitored and reported to appropriate departments to ensure minimal downtime is experienced.
  • Adhere to the Operations Daily Sitrep and prepare the document daily for submission to the Operations Manager.’

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree, preferably in Marine Engineering, Maritime Studies, Accounting, Business, Finance, or Mathematics
  • A minimum of 5 years of related experience (marine logistics, etc.)
  • 5+ years of experience with Maritime Domain Awareness and Maritime Security in  Atlantic, Pacific, and Asia
  • 2+ years of experience with intelligence collection, fusion, and dissemination
  • 1+ year of experience with working on a maritime watchfloor or operations centre
  • 2+ years of experience with Maritime security cooperation engagements, exercises, planning, or assessments
  • Marine security, logistics or shipping experience
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office
  • Experience with charter party agreements
  • Have Strong analytical, operational, problem solving and organizational skills.
  • Are technically and analytically oriented with a proven ability
