They urgently require an addition to their team an experienced and self-driven HSE Manager with previous within the Oil and Gas / Construction Industry.  

 

Job Description

  • Leading team to provide HSE and emergency response support Projects and  operations
  • Manage daily administration of HSE personnel
  • Ensure accurate implementation and application of HSE policies and procedures in compliance with statutory provisions
  • Ensure HSE objectives and Key Performance Indicators are distributed and reported effectively
  • Reporting and investigation of undesired events and ensuring root causes are identified and corrective action is taken
  • Carry out risk reduction methods with the management of HSE business risks
  • Provide reports and analyse HSE performance
  • Liaise with subcontractors and ensure appropriate communication
  • Take part in incident review panels
  • Liaise with regulatory and industry bodies when required
  • Guide improvement activities within the management team about management outcomes and industry developments
  • Custodian of HSE Plans and Bridging Documents, ensuring effective HSE documentation
  • Planning to improve operations to improve performance and compliance
  • Creation of plan of assurance activities including audits, document reviews and spot checks for critical processes
  • Maintaining improvement reports of issues identified and addressed

Qualifications

  • 10+ years' experience within HSE role in the Oil and Gas / Construction industry and previous experience in a managerial position
  • Strong understanding of Oil & Gas industry codes and standards
  • A demonstrated understanding of and ability to communicate effectively with regulatory authorities, government officials, major customers, and senior executives within the organization.

  • Experience creating and managing a budget including resource allocation and priority setting.
  • Successful leadership and hands-on direction of HSE issues in major operating facilities and business functions that support divisional projects.
  • Experience in a globally and technically diverse project
  • Experience in taking on an HSE leadership role during the design and construction phases of facilities.
  • IOSH / NEBOSH qualifications to an advanced level
  • Demonstrable experience of major hazard operations
  • Willing to attend sites on short notice when necessary
  • Ability to implement best practice principles via the delivery of continuous improvement strategies
