They urgently require an addition to their team an experienced and self-driven Fabrication Yard Manager with previous fabrication within the Oil and Gas / Construction Industry.  

 

Job Description

  • Supervises fabrication yard erection activities (fit up, welding and lifting).
  • Supervises fabrication yard installation operations (piping installation, E.I.T.).
  • Co-ordinates and interfaces between fabrication/installation and pre-fabrication activities.
  • Co-ordinates sub-contractors involved in the assembly stages.
  • Ensures compliance with safety procedures and quality standards.
  • Searches for the most efficient technical solutions.
  • Provides quantitative data for producing the progress reports.
  • Ensures that all construction/fabrication documents are verified and compliant with technical requirements;
  • Ensures that all fabrication steps, pre-commissioning, and load-out activities are properly completed,
  • Reports on a regular basis about construction/installation progress, productivity, and potential drifts on quality, planning, and/or cost.
  • Ensures no carry-over work / onshore punch points to offshore. Any such left overwork (in any justifiable/unavoidable circumstances) shall be properly tracked and recorded in the punch list system.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical or Structural Engineering discipline.
  • Experience in a similar position (years): mini 10 years. At a minimum, job holders must have extensive hands, on technical, project coordination, and supervisory experience gained in a brownfield Oil & Gas Construction environment, construction, inspection, and commissioning experience with oil & gas pipelines, gas processing plants, and gas gathering projects. 
  • Good knowledge of the industry best practices and contract practices in Oil & Gas projects.
  • Have a strong working knowledge of construction contracts, contractor inspection procedures, and construction work sequences for plants and pipelines.
  • Have a working knowledge of codes & standards such as ASME, DOT, API, OSHA, and AWS inspection procedures.
  • Have experience utilizing MS Project for project scheduling (preferred).
  • Good sense of team spirit leadership, strong interpersonal and soft communication skills in a multi-cultural environment.
  • Fluent in English - Both verbal and written.
  • Valid H2S and T-BOSIET (OPITO) trainings with offshore medical fitness.
