Job Description

Responsibilities

  • Lead and improve quality systems (AS9100 deployment & NADCAP compliance).
  • Supervise and mentor inspection teams in receiving, in-process, and final inspections.
  • Oversee Magnetic Particle (MPI) & Dye Penetrant Inspections (DPI).
  • Interpret engineering drawings and aerospace specifications for plating compliance.
  • Manage non-conformances, NCRs, rejections, and corrective actions (CAPA).
  • Collect and analyze quality and process data to identify defect trends and process improvements.
  • Interface with internal teams and client quality leadership.
  • Prepare for and support audits and accreditation maintenance.
  • Use of tools to ensure customer specification: Outer Diameter (OD) Outside Micrometers, Snap Gauges, Bench Comparators. Inner Diameter (ID)Dial Bore Gauges, Inside Micrometers, Telescoping Gauges, Plating Thickness, Magnetic Gauge (Mikrotest), Ultrasonic Gauge, Grooves/Deep BoresDorsey Groove Gages, Retractable Bore Gages
  • Read blueprints and specifications to inspect the quality of finished parts. 

 

Qualifications

  • 5+ years in aerospace electroplating quality management.
  • Hands-on with Hard Chrome, TDC, Cadmium, Copper, and Electroless Nickel plating processes.
  • Proficiency in inspection, NDT (MPI & DPI), and measurement systems.
  • Experienced with NADCAP audits; capable of AS9100 system implementation.
  • Leadership experience mentoring inspection teams (5–10 inspectors).
  • Strong technical documentation skills (NCRs, dispositions, procedures).
  • Proficiency in Steel Core ERP and Power BI (or similar analytics tools).
  • US Citizenship required (for compliance with aerospace client contracts).
