Electrical Systems Engineer, Los Angeles, CA –(Contract)

As part of the engineering service team, you will provide engineering services to existing clients on various innovative projects including the development of electric, autonomous, and power-generating technologies.

Job Description

  • Develop automatic control of various control systems for operating multiple systems
  • Model-based development based on Simulink for automotive controllers; New Eagle, Raptor, or Motohawk as the toolchain.
  • Battery testing or other high-voltage applications and Validation
  • Developing testing pipelines (scripting and automation)
  • Design and service electromechanical devices and systems for high-speed robotics and programmable logic controllers (PLCs).
  • Integration of Commercial off-the-shelf (COTS) components and internally developed components
  • Vehicle and System Testing; static and dynamic events that include power train, suspension, body structure, steering, braking, electrical and electronics

Qualifications

  • US Citizen
  • BA degree in Systems Engineering or a related field
  • at least 3 years experience in developing testing pipelines (scripting and automation)
  • at least 3 years experience using Simulink
  • at least 3 years in battery management systems
  • Familiar with circuit analysis and debugging both hardware and software issues
  • Experience in battery testing (or other high-voltage applications)
  • Backgrounds in areas of military systems engineering, aerospace, automotive, off-road vehicle development, and specialized vehicle components required.
  • Knowledge of any Directorate of Trade Controls (DDTC) International Traffic in Arms Regulation (ITAR) Department of Commerce, Bureau of Industry and Security (BIS), and Export Administration Regulations (EAR) preferred.
