Job Description
Provides strategic leadership and operational oversight for Surgical Services across the East Region, including surgical, perioperative, and support service departments at Otsego Memorial, Grayling, and Charlevoix Hospitals.
Leads regional surgical services strategy and growth initiatives, driving operational excellence, physician engagement, service line development, standardization of best practices, and improvements in access, quality, efficiency, and patient experience.
Your Leadership in Action
- Provide strategic and operational leadership for Surgical Services across the East Region, ensuring alignment with organizational goals, patient safety standards, and continuous performance improvement initiatives.
- Oversee clinical, financial, and operational performance, including budgeting, resource management, quality outcomes, and achievement of key departmental objectives.
- Ensure delivery of high-quality, compliant patient care through policy implementation, regulatory and accreditation readiness, and continuous quality improvement efforts.
- Lead, mentor, and hold leaders and staff accountable while fostering a culture of collaboration, customer service, professional growth, and operational excellence.
- Drive regional surgical service growth through multidisciplinary partnerships, surgeon onboarding support, program development, standardization initiatives, and implementation of best practices
Qualifications
What’s Required
- Master’s degree required, or bachelor’s degree with equivalent leadership experience.
- Minimum of five (5) years of management experience in surgical services or a related clinical environment.
- Current Registered Nurse (RN) licensure in the State of Michigan required.
- Strong knowledge of nursing practice, clinical operations, and patient care standards.
- Experience managing multiple sites or hospital-based programs preferred.
