Job Description
A Day in the Life
The Afternoon Operations Pharmacist Coordinator (AOPC) oversees afternoon pharmacy operations with a focus on system-wide support, continuity of services, and expansion of medication history services. This role provides leadership to pharmacy staff, ensures compliance with regulatory and organizational standards, drives quality improvement initiatives, and collaborates with healthcare teams across the system to optimize pharmacy services and patient care.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversees afternoon pharmacy operations, after-hours support, and system-wide medication history services.
- Directs staffing, workflow, and development of pharmacy technicians and support personnel.
- Maintains policies, standard operating procedures, and regulatory compliance while advancing quality improvement initiatives.
- Partners with interdisciplinary teams to enhance operational efficiency, patient throughput, and continuity of care.
Qualifications
What’s Required
Graduate of an ACPE-accredited School of Pharmacy with Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) Degree preferred.
PGY-1 residency completion OR 3 years of experience as a pharmacist or pharmacy intern in a healthcare environment.
- Demonstrated Leadership
- Project management, through demonstrated ability to complete projects and implement practice changes
- Demonstrated skill and knowledge of multidisciplinary hospital medication workflow
- Demonstrate a high level of engagement and have experience participating in local and system level committees.
- Must be fluent in public speaking.
- Complete or work toward ASHP Preceptor designation

Afternoon shift, 40 hours per week
Munson Healthcare requires all employees be vaccinated or have lab confirmed immunity for Measles, Mumps, Rubella and Varicella.
