Job Description

Your Leadership in Action 

The Executive Director leads system-wide Behavioral Health Service Line performance, program development, and strategic growth.

This role oversees Behavioral Health operations within the Physician Network, partnering with the medical director and collaborating with leaders to ensure coordinated inpatient and outpatient care.

  • Develops and executes multi-year strategic growth plans, including service line expansion and provider workforce planning.
  • Partners with the service line medical director and leadership teams to achieve performance goals across quality, patient experience, engagement, and financial outcomes.
  • Leads operational excellence through standardized workflows, efficient staffing models, and continuous performance, quality, and process improvement.
  • Drives a patient-centered, integrated care model across the continuum, ensuring coordinated, high-quality care delivery and optimized patient flow.
  • Establishes strong internal and external partnerships, supports provider recruitment, and ensures regulatory compliance and alignment with organizational mission and values.

Qualifications

What’s Required  

  • Master’s degree in healthcare administration or related field 
  • A minimum 7 years’ experience in a progressively complex leadership role  
  • Behavioral Health experience highly preferred
  • Strong knowledge of medical practice and service line operations, including revenue cycle management and financial performance.
  • Proven ability to lead large, cross-functional teams, manage change, and influence stakeholders in a matrixed environment.
  • Demonstrated strategic and operational planning skills, including effective use of technology to optimize performance and service delivery.
  • Exceptional leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to manage competing priorities, resolve complex issues, and build strong partnerships with physicians and key stakeholders.
