Job Description

A Day in the Life 

  • The HTM Intern assists Clinical Engineering staff with inspecting, maintaining, and repairing medical equipment, while documenting service activities and supporting inventory management through the CMMS. Interns gain hands-on experience troubleshooting devices like infusion pumps and patient monitors, shadowing BMETs, and following strict safety protocols. 

Qualifications

What’s Required  

  • Currently enrolled in an Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree program in Biomedical Equipment Technology, Biomedical Engineering, Electronics, or a related field. 

  • Basic understanding of electronics, mechanical systems, and medical terminology. 

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. 

  • Excellent communication and teamwork abilities. 

  • Ability to lift and move equipment (up to 50 lbs) and work in clinical environments.
