Move2Learn is an award-winning 501(c)(3) that works to level the learning field for traditionally underserved and overlooked students in the City of Alexandria. We provide teachers and students simple yet revolutionary tools that inspire movement in the classroom and throughout the day to prime the brain for learning. Make a difference in the lives of students in the City of Alexandria, VA.  

Primarily working with Hispanic middle school students in Alexandria City Public Schools (ACPS), the M2L PM will provide on-site support to a variety of M2L after-school movement programs and coordinate with established community partners. The M2L PM will be the connection between movement and a healthy lifestyle with students and families. The ideal candidate will share a passion for our mission; be both a self-starter and a team player; and be excited about being part of a growing, dynamic nonprofit.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with school and community partners to schedule and organize M2L after-school programming.
• Work alongside M2L Director of Programs to facilitate community partner meetings and fulfill grant reporting and data collection requirements. 
• Procure, deliver, and assemble equipment, clothing, and other items needed for after-school movement programs.
• Coordinate and attend community outreach events.

Education: Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience.

Language: Conversational Spanish preferred. 

Experience: Comfortable in a school setting and/or experience working with students and collaborating with educators and professionals preferred. 

Essential Skills:

• Ability to build and maintain strong relationships with school and community partners.
• Professionalism, well-organized, and highly reliable.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook, Google Drive, and Zoom. 

Job Hours & Length of Position: Position begins July 1st. Majority of work hours are from 2:30-5:30pm, Monday-Thursday, when ACPS is in session. Additional hours supporting the M2L Director of Programs available for a total of 15-18 hours/week. Opportunities for growth and development are available.

• Reliable, private vehicle transportation. 
• Ability to pass background check and provide proof of Covid vaccination or documentation of exemption, as required by ACPS.

Expected Pay/Hours: $25.00/hour for 15-18 hours per week.
