Job Description

We’re looking to add a Content Marketing Strategist to our client services team who would be responsible for the successful launch, maintenance, and strategic growth of our search marketing clients. You’ll need to contribute in the planning, presenting, implementing and maintaining of custom SEO campaigns across multiple clients ranging from competitive analysis, link building, keyword/search intent research, and content optimization. The overall goals of all our digital marketing campaigns, small and large, are to define our clients' needs and tie into their overall marketing plans. Being able to utilize current SEO methodologies and content optimization is vital. 

As the primary point of contact for these clients, you’ll also be responsible for the workflow and overall communication for these accounts and be able to draw from the rest of the team for assistance in order to deliver on these client’s needs. You’ll be expected to be an active participant in our internal and client meetings. This position will thrive with insightful analysis & cutting-edge technical skills.

Responsibilities

  • As the primary point of contact, you’ll work closely with a handful of clients, researching far beyond the SEO landscape to understand their specific challenges. Part of your role as an account manager will be to understand your client's goals and formulate plans to meet them, whether it requires technical or content optimization. Clients sometimes need hand-holding or persuasion, so excellent communication and presentation skills are a must.
  • Daily management of client's SEM (SEO & PPC) campaigns including coordination of production work, recommending and implementing SEO strategies and techniques, and more. This includes analyzing what’s working, what needs to be fixed, and whether new initiatives need to be put into place.
  • Accurately and effectively communicates the strategic vision, timeline, and expectations to clients and ensures strategy is being implemented to reach desired performance.  By setting objectives and being the primary project manager on campaigns, your duties will include not just meeting marketing goals, but looking for the next opportunities in client success/growth.
  • Based on keyword, audience, and search behavior research, you’ll develop comprehensive recommendations for on- and off-site content optimization, focusing on maximum search visibility. You’ll develop a content strategy (via internal brainstorming and collaboration) developed to tell the client's story, and lead a user from discovery to acquisition. In addition, you may be tasked with mapping out site architecture and content URLs for new and existing content in order to ensure optimal search visibility and user experience.
  • As you’re responsible for the implementation of client campaigns, you may be writing or editing new SEO-friendly copy for pages on a client's website.
  • You’ll monitor client SEO performance using industry-standard tools, including third-party software and Web Analytics programs. Using this data to make adjustments and also present campaign performance to clients on a monthly, and sometimes weekly basis.
  • Works cross-functionally (particularly with Paid Search, Analytics and web development). You understand that other channels play a role in the SEO process, so you’ll often partner with the PPC, Analytics, Content and Design teams to solve client needs. Make recommendations and work with client developers to implement site architecture and design improvements with the goal of improved search visibility, page speed, and mobile-friendliness.

Qualifications

  • 3+ years of client-facing experience at an agency. Hands-on SEO agency experience across Content Strategy, Enterprise SEO, PR, Paid Media, and/or Analytics
  • MUST be permantentll located in Austin, Texas.
  • Demonstrate creative thinking in developing SEO/Content strategies.
  • Proven Experience with Search Analysis Tools: ex. Ahrefs, SEM Rush, MOZ, Google Search Console, Analytics, etc.
  • College Degree in Marketing, Communications or PR
  • Plus: Familiarity with HTML, CSS & Javascript
  • Plus: Google Analytics Certified 
  • Plus: Experience with International SEO
