Job Description
Catalogue all fittings and hardware, including handrails, doors, gangways, light fittings, fairleads, communications, and navigational equipment, using photographic documentation and a state-of-the-art electronic tracking system. Hardware is removed carefully to allow a thorough corrosion and protection treatment without physical interruptions. Once removed, fittings are cleaned, inspected, repaired and re polished or replaced as necessary, logged, and catalogued and finally carefully stored for reinstallation at the end of the refit.
Qualifications
The Yacht Fitting Worker must have a minimum of one (1) year experience, good English speaking and communicating and willing to perform work abroad.
Candidates must be able to perform mechanical dismantling, marking, repairs, and re-assembly of deck fittings. Also, able to perform mechanical fitter jobs for dismantling and re-assemble of deck fittings. Experience in the yachting and superyacht industry is considered an asset.
Must be able to mark, tabulate, and prepare report of findings to present to the client.
