Job Description

We are seeking a professional and decisive F&B Manager to join our team in Glasgow, United Kingdom. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of our food and beverage operations, ensuring exceptional customer service and maintaining high-quality standards. Thanks to your hosting skills, our guests will enjoy a wonderful stay. As well as coordinating and managing the Bar and Breakfast teams, you will also be responsible for:

  • Looking after and advising guests in the Motel One Lounge, as well as all associated tasks
  • Providing a seamless, rapid service and implementing the Motel One service concept “One Smile”
  • Manage inventory, costs, and budgets to maximise profitability whilst maintaining quality
  • Lead, motivate, and train staff to deliver outstanding customer service
  • Ensure compliance with all health and safety regulations and food hygiene standards
  • Collaborate with other departments to enhance overall guest experience
  • Analyse sales data and customer feedback to improve offerings and service
  • Establish and maintain relationships with suppliers and vendors
  • Conducting internal coaching and cross-trainings, as well as organising development training courses for Service staff
  • Ordering food, beverages and spirits and take inventory at the end of the month
  • Producing duty rosters and holiday schedules

Qualifications

  • Have completed an apprenticeship in the hotel trade and/or have professional experience in the hotel/catering industry, including experience in food and beverage management, preferably in the hospitality industry.
  • Enjoy developing employees – management experience beneficial
  • Proficiency in food safety practices and relevant regulations
  • Be open and communicative and have hosting skills, as well as a passion for the hotel industry
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and make decisive decisions
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Be flexible and creative and have an excellent sense of quality, even in stressful situations
  • Be a team player and willing to provide assistance across departments – we achieve our results together
