As a member of the Information and Technology Solutions Directorate (ITSD) Mission Information Systems Technology Team (MIST), you'll deliver IT solutions to flight missions, science, and technology projects. Your team will coordinate, implement and support the IT infrastructure for projects and missions during their development phases, as well as real-time operations and beyond. You'll be responsible for JPL mission infrastructure that spans cloud, on-prem, virtual computing, and shared storage.

We're looking for someone with deep knowledge of Linux operating systems (Red Hat, CentOS, Ubuntu, Oracle Linux, etc.), good understanding of IT security concepts for compute environments containing varied computer types and operating systems, and extensive experience with on-prem IT infrastructure: Compute, Network, Storage, Database, Etc. If you have experience with VMWare, KVM, AWS, Azure, Ansible, Puppet, Docker, Kubernetes, NFS, BigFix, or MS Windows, that's a plus. You should also be able to automate routine tasks using shell or programming languages (Bash, Python, Java, etc.), have experience diagnosing and resolving technical problems, and have excellent communication skills.

As an IT Compliance & Systems Administrator, you'll work with end-users and customers to bring their computing infrastructure into NASA compliance. You'll ensure optimal hardware and software operation, assist in hardening computer systems, and work directly with systems administration teams to resolve incidents quickly and identify root cause. You'll also assist customers with best IT practices.

Please note, due to the sensitive nature and involvement with government-sensitive information, US Citizenship is required. While this is a day shift (1st shift) position, it will require working as part of the rotation for 2nd shift (approximately 2:30pm-11pm).
