5 years of experience in strategic, digital and video/Television communication including experience shooting and editing 4k and HD video, producing video packages for TV, studio and field lighting, producing video content for web or social media, writing scripts, conducting video research, writing storyboards, strong post production editing. Strong desire for a candidate who also is innovative, familiar with emerging technology such as 4k, Virtual Reality, 360 and Facebook live and can edit on Mac and PC platforms

Video Producer/Editor

MORI Associates is looking for a talented, reliable, deadline-driven, creative video editor, videographer and script writer with an emphasis on emerging technology, visual communication and storytelling  to join our Multimedia team supporting NASA Headquarters The successful candidate will create compelling video scripts, storyboard, light, shoot and edit interviews, broll, and edit cutting-edge, visually interesting video products for distribution on TV and NASA social media channels. We’re looking for someone who will help us expand our multimedia capabilities by providing solid journalistic and creative online and television content.  The ideal candidate should have a proven track record of producing pieces that increase engagement, and interest and educate NASA's audience. This position requires a high level of creativity, solid editorial judgement as well as the ability to use available analysis to guide production decisions. Candidate must be able to use pitch story ideas, and use current NASA events  to write material. The successful candidate should also be detail-oriented, collaborative and committed to meeting tight deadlines. Preference will be given to those with previous NASA or Government video/TV or multimedia experience as well as a strong video portfolio, bachelor’s degree and relevant work experience.

Tasks Include:

•           Participating in team meetings and taking on content creation projects

•           Participating in brainstorm meetings with TV and social or web teams and editing multimedia products such as 1-3 minute social media videos including providing captions and transcripts for 508 compliance.

•           Participating in Mission Coverage strategy meetings, and help plan and manage video, 360 or VR social media coverage of mission events such as launches, landings, and spacewalks.

•           Pitching feature videos, writing feature video scripts
