This position is in support of the NASA Office of Education and requires location at either Glenn Research Center (Cleveland, OH) or Marshall Space Flight Center (Huntsville, AL.). This position requires knowledge/training in the full software development lifecycle (preferably for an Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) Commercial Off-the-Shelf (COTS) application), and experience, at a minimum, with the first four phases of system concept/design, detail design, development/integration, and test. The person needs to have expertise with the first two phases for initial concept development, system concept/design and detail design, with very strong skills in requirements management and system documentation.

 

Job Duties:

  • Support Application Design and Development
  • Provides Requirements Management for IT systems
  • Produces System Documentation
  • Provide leadership/coordination on agency projects utilizing the software lifecycle to ensure project progress
  • Assist with customer relationship management as needed with Agency OE projects, Associate Administrator directives, and org IT planning
  • Provide testing, logging and mitigation of application issues
  • Understand and advocate for customer needs
  • Support client with the Implementation of Products and Services
  • Facilitate communication between client and various groups and contacts within OE with primary coordination through Customer Relationship Management.
  • Report back to the customer organization any issues which will impact the organization. Information on IT events or new capabilities shall be distributed back to the customer organization.
